Webinar Description: Join Lindsay Callaway, Senior Researcher at the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, for an interactive 45-minute webinar – 20-minute research presentation, 10-minute Q/A, & 15-minute guided conversation with a church leader respondent (optional 15-minutes after for networking) – about a recently released study, Women in the Canadian Evangelical Church. Drawing on findings from Women in the Canadian Evangelical Church, this presentation explores how women understand and participate in local church life. The findings reveal complex, generational, cultural, and theological dynamics, offering a nuanced picture of women’s church experiences as multifaceted, dynamic, and in flux.

Presenter: Lindsay Callaway has been with the EFC since 2019 and works as a senior researcher for the Centre for Research on Church and Faith. She has contributed to the Parenting Faith study, learning how parents disciple their children in the home; the Significant Church study, researching the life and experiences of small churches in Canada; and the Faith Trends Podcast, where she is co-host. She is also the lead researcher for a study on Women in the Canadian Evangelical Church that is actively investigating how Canadian women understand their role and participate in the local church. Lindsay has graduate degrees in systematic theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and bioethics from Trinity International University. She lives in Ottawa with her husband, who is a pastor, and their three children.
